How to use every part of Pulse — from browsing the catalog to getting data out via the API.
Today, "conversion," "session," and "active user" mean something slightly different in every LOB's dashboard — definitions live in stale docs or in people's heads, pipeline health is invisible until something breaks, and onboarding a new app team takes weeks of back-and-forth. Pulse exists to close that gap.
The thesis: get this trust layer right once, and every AI-driven build that comes after it — inherits it for free.
What this is. Pulse for Uber is a frontend product prototype built as a portfolio piece. There's no real backend, account system, or data pipeline behind it — nothing you type into a form (chat questions, contribution details, issue reports) is stored on a server or sent anywhere. It stays in your browser only, via localStorage.
Necessary cookies/storage (always on). Used only to keep the app itself working: remembering that you've seen the welcome message, your cookie choice, your local chat history, and mocked in-app data (API keys, submissions) you create during your session. Nothing here leaves your browser.
Analytics — only if you choose "Accept all." We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd., an EU-based processor) to understand how this prototype is used. Analytics cookies are not set until you actively consent, and no analytics cookie or request fires if you choose "Necessary only." Legal basis: your explicit, opt-in consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — not legitimate interest, since this isn't essential to the site functioning.
What analytics tracks — and what it never does. A fixed list of interaction events, always describing the type of action, never its content:
We never send the text of anything you type, your name, or your email to Google Analytics. Analytics data is pseudonymous (an anonymous browser identifier), not tied to your Pulse login.
Retention. Analytics events are retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, then automatically deleted. Necessary localStorage data persists only in your own browser until you clear it.
Your rights. You can withdraw consent at any time — clear this site's data in your browser, or revisit this notice, and analytics stops. Since no server-side account or profile exists, there's no separate erasure request needed: clearing local storage and analytics cookies removes everything tied to you.
